Simply put, outsourcing is hiring someone else to do the work or help you with part of a client assignment, instead of doing all of it yourself. Outsourcing has become one of the main drivers of economic development. Countries like India and the Philippines have benefited from outsourcing. But can other countries in the Western Balkans do better to drive a more inclusive economic development?

So, in this episode, we have interviewed:

  • Timo Stegelmann, Deputy Managing Director at Help—Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe, one of RECONOMY's partners;
  • Timothy Sparkman, Managing Partner at The Canopy Lab;
  • Vesna Purić, who’s COO at CORTEX - ICT Cluster for Innovations, Education and Technology Development in Montenegro; and
  • Lea Shllaku, the Regional Manager for the Western Balkans at RECONOMY.

For the episode's intermission, we have invited a special guest from the RisiAlbania Project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, Component Lead in Private Sector Development, Clara Garcia Parra.
