Lionel Giron

Lionel Giron has worked in international development cooperation since 1997 and joined Helvetas back in 2001. He graduated as a business economist (Bsc), and then as a marketing expert (Msc) and worked for many years into entrepreneurship and value chains development. Lately, he completed a Master of Advance Studies in Urban Planning and Design with a master thesis delving into the “the role and place of nature in the city, towards climate-friendly urban planning”. He has worked in West Africa and the Balkans for more than 7 years before joining the Helvetas Head Office in various positions. Besides managing a geographic portfolio, he is co-leading the urban engagement group.
