NOVEMBER 12, 2025, 4:30 – 5:45 PM CET, FOLLOWED BY A NETWORKING HAPPY HOUR

Two Decades of Lessons Learned in the Fight Against Hunger

«It’s time to recommit to Zero Hunger»

Are we on track to achieve SDG2: Zero Hunger by 2030? Spoiler alert: We are not. The 20th Global Hunger Index looks back on two decades of lessons in the fight against hunger and takes stock of how ideas and priorities have shifted over time.

Twenty years into tracking global hunger, the urgency to act has never been greater. Despite early progress, the momentum toward achieving Zero Hunger has slowed: Conflicts, the climate crisis, economic pressures and growing inequalities continue to drive hunger, while global engagement and resources are falling short.

Join us at this event to:

  • Explore the findings of the 2025 Global Hunger Index

  • Reflect on the importance of continuous, independent tracking of key development indicators

  • Share examples that give hope and affirm that hunger is not inevitable

  • Discuss how sound policies, effective governance and renewed commitment to coordinated, inclusive and sustained action can reverse hunger trends and protect vulnerable populations
