Patrik Berlinger

After a professional apprenticeship in business, Patrik Berlinger studied politics and ethnology at the University of Zurich. Before joining Helvetas in 2022, he was responsible for development policy at Caritas Switzerland for six years. He also worked at the Center for Security Studies at the ETH and in the Political Directorate at the Swiss Foreign Ministry (DFA). At Helvetas, Patrik is responsible for development communication, including the monthly blog "Polit-Sichten" on North-South issues. Patrik represents Helvetas at Alliance Sud (together with Bernd Steimann), in the Climate Alliance and in the Civil Society Platform Agenda 2030.
