Lead Strategic Partnerships for Rural Access
Agnès Montangero is supporting Helvetas rural access sector, in particular the South-South Cooperation Unit, in the development of strategic partnerships, design of new initiatives, and documentation of project learnings. She has more than 20 years of experience in development in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe with a focus on water supply, sanitation and hygiene; and rural transport. Her focus in the past years has been on promoting a systemic approach in the water and transport sector as a way to enhance sustainability and scale. An environmental engineer by background, she used to lead Helvetas Water and Infrastructure sector. She has conducted research at the Department of Water and Sanitation in Developing Countries at the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag). Additionally, she worked for Skat, a Swiss consulting company specialized in development and humanitarian aid.
