For our People & Culture team based in Switzerland Head Office we are seeking a motivated and empathetic Global Remuneration Specialist who will be based in Kathmandu, Nepal to join our organisation as per mid-January 2027. Your main tasks: Support the implementation and continuous development of Helvetas' global remuneration framework, acting as a key advisor to HR teams and managers across our global network. Provide guidance on job grading, salary structures, benefits and remuneration-related questions, ensuring a consistent application of global principles while considering local labour market realities and regulations. Support partner countries in the rollout and application of the global remuneration system through training, advice and change management activities. Analyse salary benchmarks, remuneration data and market trends to support fair, transparent and competitive compensation practices. Contribute to the application and monitoring of the Expatriate Salary Regulations, including the monitoring of related expenses, and collaborate with global stakeholders on the continuous improvement of remuneration policies, tools and processes. Following an initial onboarding and knowledge transfer phase, independently support country offices in implementing and applying the framework.
Required Education and Experience: Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Economics or a related field. 5+ years of experience in Compensation & Benefits. Experience working in an international or multi-country environment. Experience advising HR teams and managers on remuneration-related topics and supporting the implementation of remuneration frameworks or job grading systems. Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder-management skills, combined with a practical and service-oriented approach. Ability to communicate complex remuneration topics clearly to different audiences. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information. Fluency in written and spoken English. French and/or Spanish would be an advantage.
Duty station: Kathmandu, Nepal
Duration: Initially two years with a possibility of extension.
