Alexandra Rieder
Alexandra Rieder is an Agricultural Economist in depth experience advancing sustainable agriculture and inclusive food systems. She has worked since 2014 across private companies, consulting firms, and development organisations, supporting global food companies on responsible sourcing, climate strategies, and sustainability in agricultural value chains. Her international experience spans countries such as DR Congo, Peru, Mozambique, India, and Bangladesh. Alexandra holds degrees from ETH Zurich and the University of London.
Since March 2024, she has served as Advisor for Agriculture and Inclusive Food Systems at Helvetas. Previously, she led sustainability projects as Senior Sustainability Consultant at Quantis (now part of BCG) and held operational and strategic roles at Nestlé. In development cooperation she worked for GIZ, FAO and USAID.
