An international tourism exhibition "Travel Show Budapest 2022 started on March 3, 2022 in Budapest, Hungary. Over the past four decades, this international exhibition remains one of the leading tourist fairs not only in Hungary but also throughout the European Union. The exhibition is attended by a delegation from Kyrgyzstan, consisting of representatives of the Department of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter: Department of Tourism), tour operators with Travelife Partner certification, as well as Helvetas team members. The participation of a delegation from Kyrgyzstan was made possible thanks to the project of the European Union’s SWITCH-Asia Program "Greentour Kyrgyzstan", implemented by Helvetas in partnership with CATO, CATO and ECEAT, as well as the Organization of Turkic States in Budapest, which kindly provided a booth and logistical support. Participation in this event will allow the Kyrgyz Republic to demonstrate its tourism potential to partners from Europe and other continents, as well as to establish new business relationships, promote various tourism destinations, establish contacts, and share experiences and best practices. On the first day of the event the delegation held a series of business meetings and negotiations. Thus, during a meeting with representatives of the Association of Hungarian tour operators an agreement was reached to sign a memorandum of cooperation. It is worth noting that the stand of Kyrgyzstan was visited by officials, including the Ambassadors of Kazakhstan and Greece, the Deputy Minister of Tourism of Egypt and others. The exhibition "Travel Show Budapest 2022" will last until March 6, 2022, on the last day of the exhibition Kyrgyz delegation is expected to represent the country at the main stage of the event.

The main result of the assignments: Broadcasting the best practices and contributions of young people and women in family business and forming a positive role model of young people and women engaged in income-creation activities. Task: Develop strategy and plan for the production (2 productions - media products) and broadcasting of innovative, attractive and adapted for young people and women media products on (self)employment and employment of women and youth in rural areas, to increase income and (self)employment in rural areas. All formats are considered without any restrictions, but the content of the product should be attractive and should relate to the fact that women and young people are highly interested in (self) employment in rural areas, to increase family income. The new branch of Helvetas in the Republic of Uzbekistan was officially registered on January 17, 2022. The relevant documents were submitted to Brieke Steenhof, a Project Manager of the Swiss funded Support VET Reforms Project at the office of international cooperation of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan. The Support to VET Reforms Project is the first intervention in Uzbekistan, and hopefully there are many more to come. Assignment Title: Consultant services for monitoring participants of trainings on GALS in 4 sectors of the "Bai Alai" Programme. Location(s): Osh, Alai, Chon Alai districts. The main result of the assignments: In order to assess the empowerment of women and youth by identifying gender-sensitive actions with the beneficiaries of 4 sectors - to create income for families, improve access of women and youth to resources and assets, as well as change norms, attitudes and behavior of representatives of different generations to overcome gender stereotypes, as well as strengthen the role of women and their participation in the decision-making process both at the household and at the community level of the Alai and Chon Alai districts, monitoring-consultant will be hired to conduct monitoring of GALS trainings participants (hereinafter GALS). Task: The consultant will provide monitoring of beneficiaries’ progress from the following sectors: cattle, apiculture, handicraft and tourism. The consultant will find out the most active participants for further work on gender oriented issues at the individual, family and community levels; The consultant will track beneficiaries progress on using knowledge from theory to practice, on family level, also in community level; Finally, the consultant must provide a report in English. Kyrgyz brand With Love by Alay was presented at the international fair Artigiano in Fiera in the world fashion capital Milan, Italy. Artigiano in Fiera is an international fair of crafts, nations and nationalities. Today the fair is the largest event that promotes artisans, creators of beauty and goodness, unique and quality products, respectful of nature and people. Every year since 1996, more than 3,000 artisans from 110 countries and more than 1 million visitors take part in the fair. This year, Kyrgyzstan was represented at the fair by the public association Business Women of Alay (BWA), “Daairy” Coordination and Marketing Center, and Nomad Store, which, with the help of the Swiss Bai Alai programme, was able to present its new collection under the With Love by Alay brand. "Not long ago it seemed the limit of our dreams to exhibit our products outside our hometown and enter the Osh market, but today, thanks to the help of the Swiss government, we are already in Milan at the one of the world's largest craft fairs. For our entire organization this is a great motivation to continue and improve our work. We gained invaluable experience, met a huge number of like-minded people from all over the world, established business contacts. Now we have a clear vision for the development of our brand, specific goals, and most importantly - inspiration" - shared her impressions Saltanat Asanova, Executive Director of Business Women of Alay PF. It is worth noting that during the event BWA was able to make an agreement with a designer from Rome for the supply of products, more specifically backpacks and scarves made in Alai and Chon Alai. But I can confidently say that the agreements reached are a huge success for the With Love by Alay brand.
