Régis Blanc, MA

Régis Blanc joined Helvetas in 2020 as a Migration Advisor. Régis started his career in the field of migration in 2011 and has experience working in Africa, Latin America and South Asia. His thematic expertise comprises migration and development, labor migration, fair recruitment and protection from a humanitarian aid perspective. Régis previously worked for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, both in the field and at headquarters, and for the Labour Migration Branch of the International Labour Organization. He also previously worked at the local level on migrants’ integration and asylum rights in Switzerland. Régis holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from the University of Lausanne and Granada and a master’s degree in political science from the University of Lausanne. His master’s thesis was on irregular migrants and informal economy.
