At least 12 young people in Nampula city have acquired Sewing machines to start their business, thanks to funding from SOCINNE (a business incubator and partner of the initiative), which has been giving workshops on financial education and microcredit services available to vulnerable and low-income groups in that city.

These are young graduates of the cutting and sewing courses promoted by the SIM! project implemented by Helvetas Mozambique with funding from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. To date, around 1,500 young people from the districts of Angoche, Meconta, Monapo, Nacala Porto, Ribaué, and Malema have been impacted by the dissemination of financing mechanisms.
