More than 600 activists trained in WASH best practices

A total of 660 activists in the water and sanitation sector and menstrual hygiene management community counsellors are being trained to enhance their knowledge and awareness-raising skills on best practices of water, sanitation and hygiene management as a mechanism for preventing and reducing diseases, especially waterborne diseases.

The training, which is part of the Health Promotion Project in Cabo Delgado, funded by the Swiss Embassy, is taking place from 4-28 August, benefiting 11 communities in the districts of Balama, Montepuez, Namuno, Mecúfi, Metuge, and Chiúre, in the province of Cabo Delgado.
