Uzbekistan’s VET: New Partnership between Public Administration Academy and HELVETAS

On March 15, 2024, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan the event on signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Academy of Public Administration and the Branch Office of "HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation" was held.  The event was attended by Adham Bekmuradov, Rector of the Academy, Anna De Beer, Country Director of "HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation" in RUz, as well as Gabriela Damian-Timosenco, Head of the Swiss project VET4UZ.

The purpose of this memorandum is to create a framework for interaction and cooperation within the VET4UZ project, through participation in joint symposia, seminars, conferences, round tables and other initiatives to improve governance in the VET sector in Uzbekistan, conducting trainings and capacity building programs for key stakeholders on the principles and practices of good governance, conducting joint research projects to identify best practices and innovative approaches in VET management, exchange of information and best practices in the field of VET.

This partnership will strengthen the professional skills and knowledge of employees in the field of VET management and contribute to improving the quality of educational services in Uzbekistan.
