Presentation of Ferghana Valley Irrigation Partnerships Project at EcoExpo Samarkand
On June 4, 2026, Helvetas together with Youth of Osh was at the EcoExpo in Samarkand to present the results of its successful Ferghana Valley Irrigation Partnerships Project.
It showed how sometimes projects can be simple: If you bring together the right actors, improvements emerges organically!
Through trade fairs, we brought together 1) irrigation/agricultural suppliers, 2) financial institutions, 3) farmers.
The results?
More sales for the companies, an agreement between a bank and a supplier to make agricultural supplies more accessible, and faster, simpler, more economical and environmentally-friendly irrigation for farmers.
