International Consultant in Cocoa Processing and Chocolate Making Technology

HELVETAS Vietnam invites qualified international experts to submit proposals for a short-term consultancy in cocoa processing and chocolate-making technology under the EU-funded SWITCH-Asia project “Circular Economy Cocoa: From Bean to Bar”.

HELVETAS is an independent development organization based in Switzerland and has been active in Vietnam since 1994. The project aims to develop circular economy solutions in cocoa and other agri-food sectors, contributing to inclusive economic growth while reducing environmental impacts. Since 2022, the project has been implemented in the Central Highlands, South East, and Mekong Delta regions of Vietnam.

Although Vietnam produces fine-flavor cocoa beans recognized annually by ICCO, local chocolate manufacturers still face limitations in processing skills and technology. In partnership with Trong Duc Cocoa, the second-largest cocoa processor in Vietnam, HELVETAS seeks an experienced international consultant (or team) to provide tailored technical assistance to improve cocoa processing and chocolate-making quality in line with EU consumer preferences and international market standards.
