Madan R. Bhatta , MSc, MA, BE

Madan R. Bhatta joined Helvetas in 2005 and leads the Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Program in Nepal and provides advisory services for the global WASH and Water Governance Team. In these roles, he developed the Water Use Master Plan (WUMP) concept – a practical tool for IWRM and WASH planning. Madan’s thematic foci include implementation of WASH technologies and approaches in communities and institutions. He holds master’s degrees in construction management and rural development, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
