Archita Faustmann

Archita is a lawyer and holds an LLM in International human rights law from the University of Hong Kong and an LLB from the University of Pune, India. She advises on all human rights issues at Helvetas and coordinates UN advocacy work. Her expertise includes safe civic spaces, integrating a human rights-based approach into development, and business and human rights. She has strong experience in supporting civil society partners engaging with UN Human Rights Mechanisms through capacity building, drafting civil society reports and connecting with international advocacy coalitions. Additionally, Archita conducts human rights due diligence for development work and private sector partnerships and serves as the Due Diligence Coordinator for all of Helvetas’ partnerships.

Before joining Helvetas, Archita assisted in legal research at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt and worked at a corporate law firm based in Mumbai.
