Marika Djolai
Her work focuses on post-conflict recovery, minority rights, foreign policy and security, with a strong regional focus on the Western Balkans. She is a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of the Peloponnese. She is recognised for her expertise on the Berlin Process and its role in advancing connectivity, reconciliation, and institutional reform across the region. As a member of the Balkans in Europe Policy Advisory Group (BiEPAG), for the past decade she contributed to strategic thinking on EU integration and democratic reforms in the Western Balkans. Previously, she led the Conflict and Security Cluster at the European Centre for Minority Issues (ECMI), managing applied research and programming on peacebuilding, minority inclusion, and multilevel governance and held a Lecturer post in Peace Studies and International Development, University of Bradford.
