Ilham Moubachir
Ilham Moubachir has worked in international development cooperation since 2024 at Helvetas. Since 2026 she is Junior Advisor Urban Engagement & Intersectionality, and member of the Voice, Inclusion and Cohesion team. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban Studies (Critical Urbanisms) from the University of Basel, with a focus on Southern urban contexts, including studies at the African Centre for Cities and on gender and public space. Her advisory work lies at the interface of urban development and governance, policy development, migration, conflict and Gender & Social Equity. Ilham is collaborating with Helvetas Urban Engagement projects in Bolivia, Nepal, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Tanzania. Drawing on other work experience in operational coordination, she brings a pragmatic, solution-oriented and collaborative working approach. Ilham speaks English and French fluently, has working knowledge of German and basic knowledge of Arabic.
