Spring Gombe

Spring Gombe has been advocating for global health for over 20 years, both at the policy level and through program management. Her work focuses on vulnerable groups that have no access to medical care. A biologist by training, she has worked with organizations such as Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), Health Action International, Oxfam and the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi).

Spring Gombe is the founder and chief strategist of policy/strategy advisory GmbH, a consulting firm that tackles complex global challenges by aligning idealistic goals with pragmatic strategies to drive tangible progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

She was a founding partner of Market Access Africa, which partners with the public, private and third sectors to design and deliver transformational healthcare solutions for Africa. She worked with the organization between 2021 and 2023. She currently sits on the board of the Global Health Innovation Alliance Accelerator, which works towards a world in which medical innovations are promptly available to all populations in need. Spring Gombe has also helped set up a foundation that awards scholarships to secondary school girls in Kenya. Additionally, she serves as the Senior Fellow for Health at the Africa-Europe Foundation, which fosters solution-oriented dialogue and promotes a narrative shift in the relationship between Africa and Europe.
