Jana Junghardt

Jana holds a Maste’rs degree in Geography, Urban Studies and Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany. Before joining Helvetas in 2020 as Senior Advisor Disaster Risk Management, Jana worked for 10 years in Swiss and German development organizations in the fields of disaster risk reduction, social protection and humanitarian response, both in head offices and in Myanmar, India and Indonesia. As Senior Advisor Disaster Risk Management, Jana is responsible for providing advisory to field programmes on effectively reducing and managing risks linked to natural hazards and building resilience through integration a risk-sensitive perspective in projects and programmes.
