Jesper Lauridsen, MA

Jesper Elias Lauridsen has worked in international development cooperation since 2004. Holding two MAs in Political Science and African Development Studies from University of Copenhagen, Jesper has throughout his career held several senior management and -advisor positions in INGOs. As senior manager, e.g. country director and international director, he has focussed on change management, strategy development, knowledge management as well as human and financial resource management. In various advisory positions he has specialized in democratic governance, i.e. developing state capacities and improving governance systems to offer basic services to its citizens, and empowering active citizens and civil society to make claims and influence policies in their interest. Jesper has international working experience from more than 25 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. Since 2014 he has worked for Helvetas, based in Switzerland, as Senior Advisor Governance. In 2018 he was designated to lead the working area Governance and Peace.
