Since 2014, Eveline Studer has worked as Senior Advisor in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), responsible for capacity building and thematic support in the planning, implementation and evaluation of DRM projects and DRM mainstreaming. Besides overall risk management, her thematic competences refer to risk assessments, cost-benefit analysis, infrastructure measures for prevention/mitigation and preparedness. Eveline has a background in environmental engineering (MSc EPFL) and engineering (MSc BFH). She started her career in the private sector in Switzerland. From 2009 to 2013 she gathered field experience working in DRM with Swiss Humanitarian Aid in Bolivia, South Caucasus and Bangladesh.
