HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation as an organisation
The General Assembly is HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation’s highest organ and all members are entitled to vote. It elects the members of the Board of Directors and the President. The Board of Directors is responsible for strategic steering and for overseeing the head office, which plans and implements HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation’s projects.

The guiding principles of our work
HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation envisions a world in which every woman, man and child lives a life in dignity and security, exercising self-determination, caring for the environment such that it meets the needs of the current generation as well as future ones. This vision is the basis for the organisation’s mission to help disadvantaged men, women and communities in developing countries conditions.
The Management Board
An international team
The Management Board consists of the Director and five Heads of Departments. It is responsible for the implementation of the organisational mandate through the four departments: International Programmes, Advisory Services, Communication & Fundraising, and Finances and Services.
Board of Directors
The organisation's highest supervisory body
The Board of Directors is made up of 15 members including the President. As HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation’s highest supervisory body, it defines the programme strategy and approves the annual plan and the budget. It is supported by an Advisory Board that supports HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in its development policy endeavours.
