Mariana Groba Gomes
Mariana has a background in International Relations (MA, Geneva 2005) and Human Rights and Democratization (MA, Venice 2011).
Her professional experience in international development started in Timor-Leste in 2005. She has since then worked with the African great lake region and, more recently, in Eritrea, where she was a gender and human rights advisor for the UN resident coordinator. Mariana has specialized in gender issues related to the security sector and conflict, coordinated and managed projects in governance, human rights and gender equality, advising Governmental institutions, NGOs and the UN.
