Thomas Truninger

Thomas Truninger's career began as a finance and administration officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross. Later, he worked in finance for global companies such as Zurich Financial Services, Novartis and Migros. In these roles, he was repeatedly involved in Good Corporate Citizenship and Environmental and Social Corporate Governance (ESG) initiatives, which were very important to him. These activities repeatedly took him to North and South America, Eastern Europe and Africa for extended stays, where he worked closely with local teams. After studying business economics at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Bern, he completed an MAS in Corporate Finance at the Institute of Financial Services (IFZ) of the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Thomas Truninger is looking forward to bringing the professional and life experience he has gained to his work at Helvetas.
